The crawfish bisque was probably the most authentic I've had and though I prefer catfish with a cornmeal (not flour) it was still very good. overall, I think it was very good food. the real test of a cajun restuarant is the gumbo and etoufee, but I will be back to try that. repeat customer!
outside seating wasnt that comfortable, but thats part of the charm of eating bayou food. sometimes the smell of the city will get to you, but nothing that can not be overlooked.

Was driving downtown and ran across this great bar..i sat at the outside bar located on their patio, they also have a nice inside bar. The bartender sheila was great as was the ice cold beer and the grilled chicken grinder (i will try the cajun/creole next time i visit), the live music at 5.45pm on a thursday was also a plus. I will be going back most likely sometime next week after work. Watch out for the cards game as i hear it can get very crowded before and after.
- Pros: Good food and beer
- Cons: The barstools at the outside bar made me feel like i was 4 feet tall sitting at the bar

Just a short walk from Busch Stadium is the small Broadway Oyster Bar with it's cajun-creole style delicacies as well as other fresh seafood. Great music from local bands.
Really a Cajun place--should be listed there by A.J. Quentin M. at InsiderPages

This is a very tiny place--a hole in the wall---but entertaining. If you go to a Cards game--this is a very short walk. Has great gumbo and jambalaya (and oysters) Not alot of seating in this place. It was overly hot when I went there. Often has live music. Try some of their louisiana beers when you're there. (they have alligator too!)

Broadway Oyster Bar (BOB) is a wonderful place to have a good time. The best part of the place is the outside patio. With a variety of cajun and blues bands the place is always hopping.
Above average cajun food should be checked out early in the evening before the bar business get rolling.
- Pros: Good times.
- Cons: Sometimes crowded., Noisy.

I have been able to sit in with the Soulard Blues Band on Monday nights and have also gained a lot of knowledge, respect and friends of the music they offer. Monday nights in the patio are outstanding. Simply sitting underneath the stars and hearing the soothing sands of local talents who come together to display, combine and improve their craft is the most fun way to spend a night just after witnessing another Cardinal victory.
- Pros: music, crowd , music
- Cons: space, parking, drink size
Catch local blues music while feasting on Cajun and Creole cuisine at this popular patio spot.

In Short
Enthusiastic Cardinals fans drop by this funky, character-filled hangout just south of Busch Stadium for Cajun cooking before or after Cards games. Live local and national blues bands are featured on the patio seven nights a week, rain or shine; when it's cold, they retreat indoors to a space the size of a shoebox.
Dance on the tables

The last Tab Benoit show at the BOB was outstanding, perhaps the best blues experience I've had. Raining outside so the crowd was forced inside where you stepped on the toes of your newest friends. A little dancing on the tables and stools, and Tab Benoit rocked the night away! And the outdoor stage can't be beat during the 10 months it is mostly available-- even during our comfortable St. Louis summers.

A small, but friendly place with good live music and Cajun and Creole food. Also a short walk from Busch Stadium.
- Pros: Live Music, Good Food, Close to Ballpark
- Cons: Crowded indoors
