Redeeming wait staff (a little wait made up for by delicious french fries while we waited). Hickory Seasoning at your disposal. Black and Blue burger highly recommended if you have a hankering for blue cheese. The plain old traditional hamburger was also excellent.
- Pros: Hickory Seasoning at your table, Good, hearty meals
- Cons: A little bit of a wait
Eat, drink and go shopping. Then grab a hotel room in this massive old-time train station.

The Scene
This was once the largest train station in the world. In the 1980s it underwent a massive restoration and became a hub of shopping, dining and entertainment. A mixture of Romanesque architecture produces a stunning scene with a 65-foot vaulted ceiling, an 11-acre train shed and stained glass windows.
The Stores
More than 80 shops include a number of variety stores, where you'll find everything from a St. Louis pendant to a Mark McGuire line drawing. National retailers like The Body Shop, Talbots, Disney Store and Nature Company have also set up shop.
The Rest
With the Hyatt Regency Hotel and its classy Station Grill, a 10-screen movie theater and a lake, you hardly need to leave the station. There are also The Hard Rock Cafe, Landry's Seafood House and Route 66 Brewery & Restaurant rounding out the dining choices.

There are not "normal" stores in Union Station. While the environment is definately one of a kind, and a must see; dont go there to shop unless you are looking for cardinals or st.louis memorbillia.
- Pros: pretty, unique, must see for st.louis
- Cons: no "anchor stores", not a huge variety
oneofthebest!

Union Station is wonderful, from the small fair atmosphere on the outside and the koi pond that you can go paddle boating on, to the absolutely beautiful architecture of the inside of the restored train station. In the front entrance, there is the whisper wall, where one can be standing on one side of the building and whisper into the wall and the person on the other side of the building can hear them perfect. The shops are fun and entertaining. One of the best places in St. Louis! I would recommend any day. A five star venue!
- Pros: location, surroundings, food
- Cons: parking

Union Station is a great place to visit. Not only are there several different shops, resturants, and sights, but it is withing walking distance of more bigger attractions. Such as Bush Stadium, The Keil Center, the Gateway Arch, ect. I highly reccomend Union Station to anyone looking to spend the day in St. Louis. Fun for the whole family.
- Pros: lotts to do and see.
- Cons: need parking
