Lunch specials are always good and very reasonably priced The service has always been very friendly and they get lunch out to you quiclkly.. I've only eaten dinner a few times, the food and service have always been great.

Pros: good food, very reasonable

Cons: never any on street parking available, lot east usually has spaces

better than the hill!!! fresh italian dishes at a reasonable price best known for their up to date wine list - if you are looking a quiet, intimate place to take that special someone for a unforgetable but casual dinner/lunch this is the place --but be warned the dishes come in large portions--always made fresh to order a after dinner stop at the bar is always a plus--for that last glass of wine or take out for later??? stopping by on the way home from work, the pizza is always a plus -- very original fast and filling -- the perfect happy hour

Cons: reservations on the weekends is a plus,

We received poor service at Ricardo's Italian Cafe. The food was good and atmosphere was nice, but the poor service and infuriating attitude of the ownership made it impossible for us to enjoy our meal.

Our group had a poor experience at Ricardo's Italian Cafe. The restaurant was not able to adequately serve our party of 15. The wait staff appeared overworked. The food was good but its preparation was very slow. Despite agreeing to separate checks for our group when the reservation was made, they were unwilling to do so upon arrival, causing great angst amongst the diners in our group. The management finally agreed to do so, which took over an hour and was still not correct.

Pros: Food OK

Cons: Very poor group service

Fortunately for me I live less than 5 minutes from this great restaurant which has become a favorite for me and my partner. We have been there weekly for 6 weeks now and every time the food has been incredible and the service has been extraordinary--even when we've gone close to closing time.

My wife and I visited St. Louis for a spontaneous weekend from Northeast Indiana. We were driving around Lafayette Square and found Ricardo's. It was the best Italian we've ever had... even better than in Boston. The food was great, the prices were affordable, the service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was comfortable and clean. We'll definately stop back again the next time we are in St. Louis. I highly recommend the Toated Ravioli and the Cannelloni.

Pros: Great Food, Great Service, Good Location,

Cons: Parking is street available only.

My wife and I were introduced to this restaurant by her brother several years ago. We have since gone back several times over the years and taken our friends as well. The food is always great and friendly service. It is a small place which is a nice change of pace. You can have a conversation without being drowned out by the ajoining tables. We live 65 miles away so I guess that is as good a recommendation as you can have. If we lived closer we would dine there much more frequently. You won't be sorry you tried Ricardo's.

We went here with 2 other couples for a night out. We got there first so sat at the bar inside the entrance. Wasn't sure what kind of wine I wanted. The Owner / bartender said i could sample anything that came by the glass. Of course one of the ones that I was looking at was only sold by the bottle. Then a gentleman at the end of the bar was drinking the wine in question and said that I could have a sample from his bottle. I already loved the place. After that it only got better. The place is decorated with white linens and mural paintings on the walls with candlight on the tables. After we were seated the owner came and checked on us personally. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. We took some friends back there about 1-2 months later and the owner remembered us after just meeting us that first time.

Pros: Everything was wonderful - food, ambience, service. Also there is a chocolate bar a couple of doors down if you still have room after dinner.

Cons: i can't think of any!

food is great - service is the greatest I had in a long time - been here a number of times both for lunch and for dinner and it always has the same great food and service. Would highly recommend it for anybody.

Delicious food!!! And a good value as well. Friendly (but a bit slow) service. I loved it and will go back again and again. Yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
