Best thin crust pizza ever!
by apple80
This is the first review I've written. My husband and I love Joanie's! In fact, we have driven over 100 miles (we live in Southern IL) to have lunch there. The atmosphere is so relaxed and friendly. You feel like a local as soon as you walk in the door. The thin crust pizza is unbeatable. It is thin and crisp but flavorful, unlike many other thin crusts! We have made Joanie's part of our game day ritual when going to Cardinals games. Joanie's even offers a free shuttle to the ball park!
- Pros: Great food, friendly staff, good prices
- Cons: sometimes hard to find parking on street
Pizza and Drinks in Soulard
by freeshirt
There are so many great pizza options in St Louis outside of the standard chain/delivery pizzarias and Joanie's is near the top of the list. In the heart of Soulard, get a great pizza and all your drinks for the night at Joanie's or get your dinner there and do some Soulard bar hopping. In the spring and fall, there are few better outdoor dining options. As for the pizza, it is not St Louis style. You can get your own personal pizza with the topping you want, or you and a group can order a larger pie. Great for lunch or dinner.
- Pros: location, outdoor patio
- Cons: parking

Bartenders serve great drinks, Pizza Rocks!

You really have to try the Johnny's meat pie only sub sausage for burger and add banana peppers! Try the triple berry colada at the bar and the cadillac margaritas will sneak up on you if you aren't careful. The Pain Killer's they served should be limited to only two- no more-unless you are walking home.
Great neighborhood establishment!

Great late night pizza!
by ephisig764
I don't know if it is the influence of alcohol or the anticipation to eat after leaving a Cardinals or Blues game, but Joanie's is one of the best pizza places that I've been to. I know that every time I've been there I've enjoyed it, but I can distinctly remember the last time there after a Cardinal's game during the last week of their 2005 season. It was piping hot and cooked perfectly, slightly toasted on top and cooked thoroughly through. Great memories, you've got to try it.
- Pros: Pizza
Great Pizza!
by mischaanne
Joanie's is wonderful! We consistently are served great pizza there. Most people in St. Louis enjoy the thin crust, but I order the "hand-tossed" crust. The pizza is fresh and the ingredients are always good. I definitely recommend Joannie's to anyone looking for a great casual restaurant with wonderful food!
- Pros: Fresh Food, Service, Inexpensive
