Terrible, extremely unreliable, do not use laclede cab!

I used laclede cab 2 days ago and it was a HORRIBLE experience. The person I placed my order with on the phone was extremely unfriendly and refused to tell me how long the waiting time would be. I ended up waiting 45 min for the cab to arrive - which really is above the patience of anyone. I will NEVER USE LACLEDE AGAIN and do you recommand anyone riding with Laclede!

• Pros: Once cab arrives, you are fine
• Cons: Horrible call service, extremely long waiting time

Great driver, low rates

My wife and I had a great experience with Laclede getting to the St. Louis Amtrak station. We called ahead, and the driver was prompt. She was very friendly, and we had an actual conversation with her (a rarity among cab drivers).

She got us to the station quickly and safely, and she even told us a great route for getting ourselves or friends to the station the next time we went.

Laclede's rates ($2.00 pickup; 0.17/tenth) are cheaper than others in town ($2.50 pickup; 0.20/tenth).

• Pros: Great drivers, lower rates than competition, availability

Reliable Cab Company, Hard Working Drivers.

You know, with the influx of new comers to STL City, I can tell that the last reviewer is one of these upwardly mobile types that expects everything to be delivered on a silver platter. Well, sorry honey... the real world ain't like that. & what's worse, STL City would be glad to show you why.

I'm a true Southsider... my family has been in STL since the 1780's, and quite frankly, in the time that Laclede Cab has been around, they offer INCREDIBLE service. Sure, some of the drivers may not wear white gloves and they might be missing teeth, but you know what? They're just people too, trying to make a living.

So my advice to you, lady... get off your rag and quit b!tchin. This is a safe, reliable and efficient means of transportation in a no-frills town. If you don't like it, go back to the County and ride with County Cab.

Otherwise, shut the F up.

• Pros: Clean cabs, safe and contientious drivers!
• Cons: some of the crown vics have been through hell & it shows.

Mediocre cabs, horrible phone in customer service.

Most of these cabs smell as if the drivers slept in them. I've been in a few that were unbearable. Some drivers flirt to the point of disrespect, even infront of my kids. And the person that took my order, Lindsay. She's the example of the sub- par service you'll experience in the cabs. How RUDE Lindsay!

• Pros: cheaper, you get what you pay for.
