Great Stuff! by Jennifer W. at InsiderPages

You have to try Ted Frozen Custard. After reading the Jonas Brother's new book and they said this was the best ice cream around. I just had to try some! And boy were they right!
No waiting!

The lines are much shorter at this store making it easier and faster to get what you want. The service is much more personal and the customers are much more eccletic.
not romantic
by lotsofhebs at Citysearch
this is by far not a place for romance. there are tons of people odering from a widow and then you eat your custard in your car facing a very busy street and not to say that everyone is watching you eat and you do not have really any privacey and then to top it off, if you are not careful you may get hit by a car. don't get me wrong, the custard is the best in the town, but not my pick for romance at all!
- Pros: good custard, inexpensive, good service
- Cons: very crowded, poor parking
NOT COMFORT FOOD!
by mikeg38 at Citysearch
Fellow St.Louisans....Do you even know what comfort food is? It's the type of stuff your mom gave you when you were sick or it was a cold, snowy or rainy day. It's stuff like meatloaf, beef stew, chicken soup, grilled cheese sandwiches...etc. Did your mom ever serve you frozen custard in a parking lot when you had the flu?
OK...now the rating... Ted's still has great custard; however the portions are becoming increasingly small over the years. It's no longer worth the drive from west county to receive a pig pong ball size dollop of custard. I used to take out of town guests there, but the portions are embarrassing.
- Pros: Great custard, good service
- Cons: too crowded, small portions
Worth the calories

Great spontaneous treat, just wish parking was easier. It is a St. Louis City establishment, and I always like supporting my neighbors. This is a casual, outdoor-service only custard stand that people flock to just to hang out with friends for a while and be decadent.
Heaven
by ArtConklin at Citysearch
This places serves up true heaven. Even waiting in line is a positive experience. I have waited besides a US Senator, Hall of Fame Baseball player and ordinary people like myself. When it is the best, the best come to it and that describes this place. A must visit everytime I return home. Concretes rule!

just the thing for relaxing, after a busy day at work, school, or play.
doesn't belong in this category

what idiot called this romantic? it's a stand-up. take-out only ice cream joint, serving overly sweet soft, melting icecream
No Way is this Romantic!
by ccomotto at Citysearch
While it's a great little frozen treat, it certainly can't be considered "romantic." It's not a restaurant, it's a place to go AFTER a romantic dinner, or after a ballgame.
