yummy greek food!

i thought the food was very good traditional greek food. i had a gyro and it was very yummy! also i went on a friday night around 10, and the section in front of the bar was actually almost a party atomosphere. there were a lot of people in their 20's drinking and hanging out, which kind of took me by surprise. when we moved into the non-smoking area however, the noise level dropped considerably. definitely an unexpected hang out! my only complaint was that the waiter was a little absent, other than that it was a great place!
- Pros: good prices, great food, fun place
- Cons: waiter was a little absent
sooo good

it's my kids favorite place to eat. It's casual, has really good food, it's super quick and easy, but I would suggest going on an off night because it can get pretty packed" Time

Great food, good prices. Good atmosphere, wooden floor, benches, and walls add to the warmth and comfort.
It is a nice change of pace from the franchised restaurants.
A great value!
- Pros: Great food, good price.
- Cons: parking is across the street, but not really an issue.

The wait staff is not most friendly but if you know this coming in, the food is great! 2nd best gyros in town. Gyro House in U-City are #1. Enjoy!
- Pros: GYROS ARE GREAT
- Cons: WAIT STAFF NOT TOO FRIENDLY

If you are looking for a good Greek salad or gyro in St. Louis, you wil find it here. If you are looking for someplace to get great food and great service, good luck. We eat here at least once a month and it is definitely a coin toss on the service. However, the food is always good. I've had better Greek food in Chicago, New York or Tampa, but this is consistently good Greek food for St. Louis. If you are looking for a relaxing place to eat dinner with the family or friends, this is it. If you are looking for a fancy night out, look elsewhere.
As far as cleanliness, it wins! There have been other Greek Mom & Pop restaurants around the area that you just aren't sure, but this one meets the standards.
- Pros: Reasonably priced, consistently good food
- Cons: Not consistent service
Not What I Expected!

My mom got take out there for us recently. She said a lot of people were doing the same, but the lady taking the order wasn't very helpful when asked about the menu items, she was just trying to hurry her along. The pastitsio was very bland and one of the worst I've had. The spanakopita was okay tasting, but it's presentation was lacking. It looked like a huge brick of spinach pie and was on the soggy side. The taste was just okay. Finally, the galatobourako was just okay as well. My dad is from Greece, so needless to say, I've had my share of Greek food. You'd be much better off going to Apollonia. I think it's on Gravois. On the flipside, our take out experience there was much better. Every dish we had was great.

I have been to this restraunt three times. My first experience was wonderful. Our waiter was efficient and very helpful as it was our first time there and we had never tried greek food. We got an array of things to try and had a great time. Drinks were good as well. My second experience was not so great. It was a date and they seemed short handed with their wait staff. The waitress we had was short with us and hardly waited on us. The food was still good. We were not asked if we wanted desert. Felt as if she was rushing us to get our table since they were busy. My third experience there got even worse. Once again they seemed short handed on their wait staff. It was a weekand night so of course the place was packed. It took a while to get a waiter. It seemed like forever before we got our food. The steak I ordered medium I got as almost well done. My margarita tasted like it was made with bad sweet and sour mix or something. Overall this place is just ok now to me. The food I would have to say is very good and I have never had to wait to be seated but service is lacking and yes there is a bit of a parking problem.
- Pros: food, decent menu, ambience, patio
- Cons: parking, service

Asolute best gyro in town! Wait staff can be short and sub-par, but has never stopped me from going. Not very expensive either.

We had the sample platter, everything was bland and tasteless! The rice was cold and the musaka was the worst I have ever had. If you go there avoid the sample platter.

This is one of my top restaurants in StL. The gyros ARE the best in town and you can't find better flaming cheese. The waiters are always delightful and prompt whether you come at lunch or dinner. The after dinner crowd is entertaining. This is a place where they treat you like a regular even if it's your first time.
They have plenty of seating inside or on the patio.
- Pros: wonderful service and amazing food
