Im getting married in October and I have been searchng everywhere for the perfect dress, I didnt realize how overwhelming it can be!! I had been to at least 4 different shops and I had little luck. One of my friends told me about Simply Elegant Bridal, and thier new location down town (which was suprisingly easy to get to!). I went to check it out, and it was AMAZING! The selection was huge, and the customer service was great. The woman who was helping me wasnt pushy, but offered some suggestions for my body type. They had everything from shoes, veils, Moms dresses, and flowergirls to tuxedos and invitations. It was a perfect one stop shop! I bought my dress, bridesmaid dresses, Mother of the bride and groom dresses and the tuxs there, and I couldnt be happier with all of them! Overalll Simply Elegant Bridal made the expierience easy and enjoyable. I highly reccomend them to all!!!
Pros: Free parking in lot, easy to get to
Cons: Books up fast, so call at least a week in advance!!

My experience at Simply Elegant Bridal was fabulous. All the employees are very nice and friendly. The new location downtown is absolutely beautiful. when i tried on dresses i felt like i was royalty because of the quality of dresses and location. I love how the dresses are displayed. It gives one the chance to look through and get suggestions on what one should try on. I hate when dresses aren't displayed and you have to depend on someone to find what they think you will like. I would highly recommended others to check it out!! you won't be disappointed!!
Pros: Own parking lot downtown!! Free to Park!!
Cons: Books up fast on Sat. need to schedule a week in advance at least!!, it is appointments only

My daughter did her entire wedding, including jewelry, through Simply Elegant Bridal. Her dress was gorgeous and the alterations were perfect. She even had custom made jewelry. She and her wedding party loved the attention and customer service they received throughout the process of selecting gowns, alterations and tuxedo rentals. We worked through the Watson location and have referred several close friends to the new downtown location. We have heard that the store is a beautiful setting for choosing the perfect dress. We could not be happier with our experience with Simply Elegant Bridal.
Pros: Downtown, free parking

Simply Elegant was the second bridal salon I visited in less than a week and I was blown away by their service and selection. They recently moved to a large shop downtown, at 10th and Olive, and its full of character (and space). The lady helping me did have me fill out a relatively short form with my wedding information, and then walked me around to explain the designers the store carried and the differences between them. She then suggested certain cuts and styles for my body type, and let me go around and choose the dresses I liked, although she did make a recommendation on a few of them. I could pull as many dresses as I liked (she didn't mind I had a third of the store in the dressing room!!) and I liked being able to select the gowns myself because lets face it, I have to wear the dress and I didn't know what I wanted until I saw it!! I hate places where you can't at least take a look for yourself, or worse, they let you look but the dresses are crammed into plastic bags and you can barely pull them out. The dresses were easily accessible at Simply Elegant. My salesperson also gave me the option of assisting with trying on gowns, but she didn't have to stay in, which I think is nice because some people aren't comfortable with that sort of thing. Ultimately, I loved Simply Elegant because they helped me find my perfect dress, and didn't pressure me or rush me, even when I had so many gowns to try on and the store was closing soon. I felt welcome and comfortable the entire time I was there. The large selection of dresses they have is also great because they had very inexpensive (but gorgeous) gowns and also had some of the top end designer gowns. If you're looking for nice people, a welcoming environment and a great selection - Simply Elegant is the best place in St. Louis (in my oh so humble opinion!).

A wedding dress is a special purchase. It is one most people are not experienced with, and will hopefully only need to purchase once. Being a rare purchase, it is one that requires assistance, both in finding what will look good on your body type, and just to get in and out of. When I walked into the store, at my appointment time, I was not immediately greeted. After a few minutes, I was given a lengthy form to fill out. After sitting a little long, clipboard in hand, I was told dismissively that I could start looking around. I was overwhelming. I was not asked what I had in mind, what I wanted to spend, how formal my wedding was, what time of day, etc. I looked through packed racks and could not get an idea on any what they looked like on the hanger, much less once I tried it on. I did take 3 dresses to the fitting room. Here I was left alone to get in and out of dresses. Seriously, I got stuck trying to get out of one of them. It was like a scene from a movie. I had to call my mom in to help me. And the store manager only talked about herself, showing no interest in me as a customer. When I said I liked a dress at the first store I went to (this was my second venture out to buy the perfect dress), they asked what it was. I told them. As a dress under $1,000.00, it was not on display. They went to the back and had a knock-off. The knock-off was more expensive, and didn't come in the right shade of white. The "real" dress was less, and the other shop was having a sale, making it even more affordable. Finally at the end of this fiasco, they showed interest in me. By this time, all I could think was, "If they aren't giving me service now, what will they be like after the dress is paid for and they have everything they want from me?" I could see many potential problems down the road. I went back to the first store, (second dress I tried on) and was even more appreciative of their great customer service after this incident.
Pros: The store looks nice.
Cons: Customer service was non-existent.
