Amazing that ponytail1961 could write reviews for three different salons on the same day!! I would say that if you read the review on Ginger Bay, that ponytail1961 is probably the stylist that is being bragged about. Sad. Reviews were written about Creative Image, Scandals and Ginger Bay on all 12/13/06.

Great Brazilian Wax

I've gone to Arden twice for a Brazilian wax and have been very pleased with her work and the salon itself. Great atmosphere--very soothing, nice place to sit and wait. Arden is personable and makes an unpleasant experience go quickly with good conversation. I'm very pleased with the results!

Horrible experience

I would not recommend using this salon for hair services. I went once for a haircut and got a great cut, I went back to the same stylist (most veteran stylist in the shop) and recieved the worst cut of my life. She didn't listen when I explained what I wanted. In the end, she just stated, "it's just a shorter version of what I originally did". Problem was, that's not what I asked for. My first cut took a full 30 minutes, my second one took about 5. They did not charge me for the cut; however, I am paying for it every day by how hideous I look. I will never go back and I would not recommend anyone else going there, or at least not to this stylist.

Great hair coloring!!

I went there with hair that needed a lot of help. I have to say I love my hair now and have had many compliments on it. I will be a customer of their's for life. Wonderful place.

Great Spa!

I went to Ginger Bay for my first Brazilian wax. I had never had anything waxed I was very impressed with Elizabeth. She made me feel very comfortable. Everyone that greeted me was very polite.

Great Spa/Salon

I have had a facial, my hair-styled, and lashes tinted here (can't beat the price for a lash tint). I was pleased with all these services, except when I had a make-up application done. She did not ask what colors I liked (I prefer a neutral palette, and she used the opposite), she did not cleanse/moisturize my face (although I arrived with a clean face, the service is still suppose to include this). Finally, she did not use mascara. The make-up was nice, however I did not look like myself - it would have been nice had I been going out to a party/event - not for family pictures as I had planned that day. If you go for a mini-facial there, you might want to go to Scandals. I felt that my facial was barely 30 minutes at Ginger Bay, and at Scandals, I felt that it was over 30 minutes, and it was much more relaxing. My friends have gotten Ginger Bay pedicures and said those were great - especially the atmosphere.

Excellent salon

My husband and I recently moved to the St. Louis area, I read about the Ginger Bay Salon on the Internet and tried it out for a haircut and style. Gabby took care of me and she was excellent. I am very impressed with the entire staff at Ginger Bay and plan to be a regular customer. I would recommend this salon without reservation.

Best spa I have ever been too! Staff is fun and knowledeable! Devyn and Susan are wonderful!!!!

I thought my appointment was on Wednesday, and it turned out to be on Tuesday evening. The spa called to find out where I was, I told them my appointment was the next day. Well., I was wrong. She stated they could still take me if I hurried. I was 1 hour late, Susan took care of me just like I was on time. I also had to bring my 4 year old with me-which I was not counting on the next evening. Susan was wonderful with her, and the stylist who sits next to her, mad sure she had something to do - draw. Not only did my highlights turn out exactly as I wanted, I did not have to reschedule! They have made a client for life! Beautiful spa with wonderful people!

• Cons: Pricy - but you only get what you pay for!

Quick and painless - yet still relaxing!!

I got a bikini wax here for the first time - and everything was wonderful. The staff is extremely welcoming - not stuffy at all! Dawn did my wax and she was wonderful! I highly reccomend this salon if you are looking for a good place to go for first-timers!

I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, but at the same time I was able to relax in the calm environment Ginger Bay provides.

Definitely worth the money!

I have gone to Ginger Bay for 6 years now and i love my hair stylist Corrine and my waxer Galina. You could NEVER go wrong w/those two wonderful women!
