Build a seriously hefty hamburger at this fast food joint with a diner-like atmosphere.

Red-shirted, black-bibbed attendants serve grilled burgers made from freshly ground beef, turkey, salmon, and even ostrich sandwiched by buns that are baked in-house daily. Hungry patrons gussy up the meat at a condiment bar stocked with lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos and a variety of sauces, then take a seat at tables topped with a black-and-white checkered tablecloths. Sides of cole slaw, baked beans and wedge-shaped fries complete the picture.

Lets face it you go because you add the toppings yourself. As much or as little, if it's bad it's because you made it that way. Personally, mine is always great! It's a great place for kids! Let them create just please supervise.
- Pros: lots of toppings, good beef 80 20 mix, great for kids
- Cons: , gets a little pricy, easy to over eat

steak n shake is not even comparable with this restaurant, they have the best hamburgers that ive ever tried.. and im a burger lover... the 1lb portobelo swiss is awesome.. or the other one with mushrooms with american or cheddar (with swiss is better).. i dont remember.. they are both awesome.. ive never tried nothing like that on steak n shake..

I LOVED it...it was so great! I loved the variety and how you put everythignon your burger yourself!! cant wait to go back! HIGHLY recommended!!!!

the first time i ate at a fuddrucker's was in Omaha, NE in 1995. After that, I began driving the 45 mins to an hour to get to my local Fuddruckers in St. Louis, MO. I love the fact that I have such a large choice of toppings for my burger, and there's always a great atmosphere. Try it you'll love it!
- Pros: great toppings, great burgers, great family atmosphr
- Cons: crowded, not enough in area, somewhat expensive

I've been going to Fuddruckers one to two times weekly for the last 2 1/2 to 3 years. I've been to countless places trying to pick a favorite. When it comes to best tasting food and friendly, prompt service, Fudd's is the place to go!

Much improved since they made up their mind who they wanted to be! Always had the best hamburgers in my opinion, but couldn't seem to make up their mind whether they were trying to drarw the singles/sports bar crowds or families. I'm glad to see that - at least the one on Watson & Lindbergh - went with the family atmosphere.

Though the atmosphere isn't the best, and the wait can be long, the burger absolutely makes up for all of that...and more. I have never had a hamburger that good! What makes it taste the best, in my opinioin, are the grilled mushrooms. If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor and go! It is a little pricey for a hamburger joint, but well worth it.
- Pros: condiments galore, large portions, the best taste ever
- Cons: long waits, cheap decorations, fairly pricey
