Well in the city the one off if kingshighway was a less than stellar experience that I do not think I will repeat anytime soon. I think a common steak and shake can do better than these people could.. We get our bill and there is a $2.16 charge on there that neither me or my girl knew nothing about. Come to find out when we get to the register that they add the 15% gratuity to the bill automatically!! I was not informed about it prior to the dining experience. Had I known that I would not have worried about the tip. The food was not bad and the coffee was good. After how she rushed us and everything else. I definatley will not return.. Just like in the men's warehouse when I say I am not going to return "I guarantee it.." David Clements, Jr.

Pros: Good coffee

Cons: Pushy server, unexplained charges

Unclude Bill's is CHEAP. And so is the quality of the food you get. Thus, you shouldn't go there for a "fine dining expereience"; it's more like a throwback to the diner age. If you're in the mood for breakfast at 7:30 PM (or 3AM), then this may be the place for you. Unfortunately, it's gone downhill in the last 1/2 year or so (at least the west county location on Manchester has). So we've abandonned it for the local IHOP.

Pros: cheap, good pancakes

Cons: low quality, smoky

The only Uncle Bill's worth eating at are the ones in South County and on Kingshighway. The other one(s) are NO GOOD. The food is reasonably inexpensive, and you may meet "The William" (as 'Uncle Bill' calls himself -- he's Korean.) Anyway, don't go expecting anything other than a halfway decent diner-style restaurant. On a weekend at late-night, expect alot of drunks. The colorfulness of the city is all too evident. ALSO -- they automatically tack on a 15% gratuity after 10PM, so don't expect anything special in the way of service after that hour.

Pros: Inexpensive, Good Parking, Greasy

Cons: Drunks, Bad Service at times

I ate at the uncle bills on manchester the service was terrible, and the food was worse I ordered the basic breakfst. 2 eggs over easy sauage hash browns and toast. The eggs and suasage was overdone the toast was hardly toasted and the hash browns were not done.

Extremely slow service - high prices for what you get - not the friendliest place in town

Pros: food

Cons: service, attitude, prices

i have never enjoyed the food at uncle bills, the gravy is too fake, the pancakes too thick and cakey and the service is not all that great either

I just visited Uncle Bill's Pancake House, and I must say it was the worst service I've ever received. I've received better service and hospitality from Denny's and Steak n' Shake. The waitress was very rude and served others that came in after us before we were served. Our food was not only brought out at room temperature, but our orders were wrong and we had to ask several times to get them right. We also had to ask several times for refills on coffee (which we were charged full price for). The host was also incredibly rude to us, and could really use a lesson in people skills. If you plan to visit the St. Louis area, I don't recommend the 4000 Lemay Ferry location as a dining choice.

Pros: Inexpensive, Good Parking, Lots of seating

Cons: Rude, Cold food, Slow service

I have the best memories of Uncle Bill's. I lived on S. Kingshighway (which was GREAT by the way) and best memory was my best friends bachlorette party and after we went for late night breakfast. Problem was neither of us had cash..... I had to leave her and run to the ATM> Those were the days.........I live in VA now........miss MO BAD.
