This is a great record shop located in the heart of the loop. Any time I need to find something that is difficult to find I have great luck here. If you are in love with music...and records...youc ould easily spend an entire afternoon just looking through all they have. Huge selection, fair prices, and great staff! Very pleased!

Starting out with some stacks of records in the Soulard Market stands, Vintage Vinyl grew into one, then two University City storefronts, eventually settling in the old Varsity Theatre building. Now legendary in the University Loop, Vintage Vinyl is a one-stop record shop that highlights everything from obscure, spoken-word vinyl to the latest hip-hop singles. If it's old, there's a chance they've got it; if it's new, you'll find it.
Organization
Though the ceilings and walls are chaotically decorated, the stacks themselves are organized with precision. The staff certainly knows music, though they also know what they like and aren't shy about giving that impression. That said, the Vintage buyers know how to stock for both the pop fan and the complete junkie. You'll find techno music from Belgium as well as the latest Sony records.
