I found a beautiful dress but not until I asked if the owner was there. The sales lady was horrible, she said they did not have a dress within my budget (under $700). I did not get excellent service until the owner came back and talked with me.
Pros: Many styles not available elsewhere
Cons: Judy

After over a month of trying numerous stores in the area, the Enchanted Bride was by far the best place I went wedding dress shopping. They were so welcoming. You feel an instant sense of warmth and comfort, which is enhanced by the incredibly attentive, friendly and sophisticated service that you receive throughout the experience. Every step of the way my bridal consultant Judy made me feel at ease. I was a bit nervous that I wouldn't find the perfect dress because I had been to several other stores with no luck- and my wedding date was nearing. I was looking for a dress for my destination wedding, yet I still wanted something very elegant that still looked "bridal" as I am having a reception here in town that I want to wear the dress again for when I return. She managed to get my dress in on a shorter than average notice for which I am extremely grateful. She listened to my requests, offered her honest opinion when I asked, listened to my price range and in the end found my dream dress. She even found the perfect dress for my mom- which is quite a task! I highly recommend the Enchanted Bride to anyone seeking quality, experienced service with a great selection of designer dresses. It really is obvious they know what they are doing. Good luck on your hunt!
Pros: experienced bridal consultants, large designer selection
Cons: honestly can't think of one

I had a great experience at the Enchanted Bride. The staff was so knowledgable and helpful. I liked that I could look at all the the dresses myself and not have them brought to me from a 'secret room'! My sales lady, Judy, really knew her stuff. she helped me find a stule that I had not looked at yet, but it turned out to be the one. I did spend a little more than I had planned, but the shop was full service and I knew I would be taken care of. the alterations were wonderful, and a lot more reasonable than my friends spent on bargain dresses elsewhere. I also got a good discount on my bridesmaids and several of them were out of town, The manager handled all the details well, I didn't have to do anything! I went to three other places, including Neiman Marcus. My dress was just as nice as the ones I saw there, for twice as much and my service was first class.
Pros: experienced service

I have been visiting numerous bridal shops in multiple cities searching for the perfect dress and The Enchanted Bride was by far the worst customer service I have received. I was "helped" by Judy. She is not doing much to retain customers or encourage new customers. She continually attempted to sell me a dress that was over me price range. When I expressed more interest in another dress her response was, "You need to listen to me. I have been to New York. I have seen the runways. This dress was featured on Oprah and The Apprentice. You need to get this dress. Don't you see the difference!?! " Next she tried name dropping of Saint Louis celebrities that have gone to the shop. I could name drop as well as she, and I don't care if Oprah herseld wore that dress. I don't want to buy a dress from someone who is rude, snobbish and high pressure. Finally, when I explained that the dress was a much larger skirt and different neckline than I was looking for, Judy's response was "Well, when are you going to do 'serious' dress shopping. We can look at gowns when you are 'serious' about getting the best gown for you." I should have known not to try The Enchanted bride: (1) I have one friend who they were rude to and didn't help because she insisted upon staying in her price range. (2) In the case of another friend of mine they were rude to, and at times completely ignored her one bridesmaid who was heavier than the other bridesmaids. The larger sized dress was not ordered with the others, and didn't get that dress altered in the same ammount of time as the other dresses. (3) Finally, a third friend and her cousin were told that a dress was "full price" for an "as is clearance" gown with multiple tears in the sirt, missing beads and a broken strap and labeled at a sale price. She then offered them the dress at a sale price ($50 off retail) as they were walking out.
Pros: carry many bridal designers not carried by other MO shops
Cons: rude, snobbish and high pressure, no returns, higher prices

Employees were extremely rude! When looking for my wedding gown, they wouldn't let me try on an expensive dress, because they assumed I couldn't afford it, even though I could. They said, "oh, you don't want to try that on. It's too expensive." Do they not want to sell it? Also, when looking for bridesmaid dresses, one person told me to go in the back and help myself. No one came to help me for over 20 minutes and when they did, they screamed at me for having too many dresses in my dressing room. They said, "this is ridiculous!" And I only had 4 dresses with me and there were no other customers in the store. I am a very polite person. I always try to be nice to everyone. But that's when I left and said, "I was going to buy 6 of those for my bridesmaids, but I guess you don't want my business. Oh, and I think I'll go elsewhere for my gown too." I left and ended up picking that exact bridesmaid dress and ordering it from someone else. I was one of the first of my friends to get married so I have told all of them not to go there and to tell their friends the same thing. And that is not like me. I'd recommend An Elegant Event, Robins Bridal, Maiden Voyage, and the Ultimate Bride.
Pros: decent selection
Cons: very rude, bad service, bad atmosphere

It is important to have an appointment because this salon gets very busy. They evaluate your personality and needs to help find the best style of dress for your special day. My sales woman helped find dresses that flattered my figure and my personality. She was very honest about how the dresses looked on me. She asked me where the reception was being held because the physical setting of the ceremony and reception can help determine what kind of dress you get. i.e. - if you're in an ornate cathedral - you might want a very decorative dress. My dress will definitely suit the location, my personality, and figure. They were fast finding dresses for me to try on. I loved so many of them but of course decided on the one that spoke to me the most. I would recommend making an appointment if you're interested in looking for quality service and dresses. It's not a meat-market kind of shop and there are a lot of unique & classic styles. I found a dress that is not usually sold in the US - so you can definitely find some great, rare dresses there! They were also adding incentives the day I came. I don't know if that's usual or if I just got lucky that day.
Pros: ample parking

I am a new bride, and just dropped in to possibly try on some wedding gowns, and get an idea at the Elegant Bride on Olive. It is a rainy Monday, and NO ONE was in the shop. I didn't have an appointment, and I guess this was a huge problem. I was told that I could look around, and if I found something I liked, then I could make an appointment. She also asked where my reception was, like this was relavent to my wedding gown. I did not feel welcomed, and even though I was dressed in tennis shoes, and a jean jacket on this rainy day, I was snubbed, and could have been a potentially very good customer...you should never judge people. They lost some business, and word of mouth is a powerful thing. I would steer clear of this bridal shop!!
Pros: Beautiful Dresses
Cons: Very rude sales clerk!
