Such a fantastic experience...

I can not say enough good things about Ms. Do and her alterations shop. I took my wedding dress there to have it altered. My wedding is in May, so I was very concerned about the time frame, and I have heard a lot of horror stories about brides and their alterations going wrong. The dress has a lot of bead work on the bodice, and it also has an overlay - just a lot of things that I figured would be a problem in getting it sized down. I brought it in on March 10th and by March 26th, it was ready for me to try on again. I was surprised at how fast this was, I just assumed it would have taken longer. I put it on and it fit PERFECTLY! Most of the bead work was back in tact - you couldn't even tell that it had been altered. She had to add the bustle and finish up the beadwork and said after that, it would be done. She called me the next day and said that the dress was ready to be picked up! I was so worried about having to alter my dress - it was the only thing that I had acted like a "Bridezilla" over. I am so happy that it went this well and was so painless. Plus, her and her staff are so nice and accomodating - again, I can not say enough good things about her. Brides, (and everyone else) I highly recommed going here for all your alterations needs. Just go here first, don't bother shopping around, you won't find better!

Simply Amazing

Took an overcoat into be tailored. It was big on me, but I had no idea how big. They re-cut the coat and sized it perfectly to fit like a glove. Unlike other tailors I have used, you can't even tell it's been altered. Even had me go in for a fitting mid-way through the process (haven't done so since getting a custom suit made from scratch in Hong Kong- very professional). Definitely the best tailor around. As a Wash U student for the past 4 years, I've used plenty of tailors around the area, and none of them compare.

Fast, Affordable, Beautiful Job on a Wedding Dress

I could not be more pleased with the quality of service and workmanship at Brentwood Alteration and Tailor. After buying my wedding dress out of state, I was worried about blindly choosing a tailor in the St. Louis area. The reviews on this site were enough to convince we to give this place a try, and I am SO GLAD I did.

From the moment I walked into the store, it was obvious that Ms. Do is very knowledgeable and talented. Though admitted to me that she had never seen a train quite like the one on my dress, she was still able to quickly fashion a bustle that is beautiful and seamless. Because of the detailed beading on the bodice of my dress, I was worried it would be difficult to take the dress in a bit at the bust, and I knew the intricacy would likely drive up the cost. Making the adjustment was no problem for Ms. Do, and the price was much lower than I had anticipated (especially because I had already been quoted a price from the shop where I bought my dress based on what their alterations expert normally charges). Ms. Do charged much less than what I was expecting.

I brought my dress to Ms. Do two months before my wedding because many of my bridesmaids had been told it would take at least one month to finish their alterations. I assumed a bridal gown would take even more time. I was absolutely shocked when I was able to pick up my dress at Brentwood Alteration and Tailor after two weeks.

After my positive experience here, I will never go to another tailor in the St. Louis area. I highly recommend Brentwood Alteration and Tailor.

Best alteration shop in town

In my opinion, this is the best alteration shop in St. Louis. I took my wedding dress there to be altered and was able to pick it up the very next week. The price was very reasonable and the work was beautiful and professional.

This place is wonderful! I have used Brentwood Alterations and Tailor twice, and been quite satisfied each time. When I needed a last minute alteration to a bridesmaid dress, Ms. Do was able to finish my dress in two days to have it was ready in time for the wedding; not to mention that it fit perfectly. The work is high-quality and Ms. Do takes time with each client to ensure that everything's done right. You can depend on Brentwood Alterations and Tailor for a commitment to superb work and great service!

I just got my wedding dress back from Brentwood Alteration, and could not be more thrilled at the quality of their workmanship. Not only does it fit like a glove, but the alteration was done so professionally that it is literally impossible to tell where the dress was taken in. Loan is truly talented, and her many years of experience are evident in the quality of her work. The bustle on my dress was quite complicated, and I was not sure how she would approach it, but the finished product is both elegant and easy to put up. At least two of my bridesmaid's will have their alterations done here, and I would happily recommend her services to anyone who asked.

Great place

I needed to get my dress hemmed and I called many bridal shops and always given the same answer...."It's too close to prom, we have no openings left." My Co-worker told me about this place so I called and was told to come in the next day. It also needed to be taken in, and it was difficult to do. it couldn't all be taken in at one place. Because of the beading it had to be taken in at 4 different places. They did a beautiful job, and I can't wait to wear the dress. They were all very nice and I can't believe how difficult this dress was and how wonderful it looks and fits.

Artistry and flair

Brentwood Alteration and Tailoring is the best I have ever used. They were able to create a beautiful and unique cape to go with my formal gown. Not only was my gown now appropriate for a professional holiday party, but Brentwood Alteration’s artistry and flair was refreshing. Also, I have been bringing my slacks, skirts, jackets, and coats to them for alterations for at least 10 years now and have always been happy with the results. I recommend them highly.

I too decided to take my wedding dress to Brentwood Alterations based on the positive feeback from other satisfied customers. I needed the length of my dress altered as well as a bustle. Ms. Do was very friendly and caring and took a lot of time in making sure the dress came out perfect- and it did!! The prices did not "break the bank" and the service was fast. I would highly recommend Ms. Do and Brentwood Alterations to anyone and I will be a lifelong customer! Thanks Again!
