I moved into Sun River village about 5 Months ago. I like the area... close to most stores... nice property... well kept... price is fair... I have had only one issue, which 5 months plus has yet to be resolved. All of the appliances are dated as being made in 1986... The dishwasher soap dispenser is broken... So I have been running it twice for each load twice. After 3 months I stopped by the leasing office to remind them of the issue... They apologized and said it would be taken care of as soon as possible. Nothing took place to correct it. Now another problem developed, it started leaking water. Again, now at 4 months... I dropped in again to see if there was an estimated time of when I could expect it to be fixed... they apologized again and said it would be taken care of. The next day, for lack of anything better to do... I looked on line and spoke with a customer service representative with Hotpoint, the manufacturer of the dishwasher. He said that the part would be $8.95 plus an additional fee for shipping. He stated I could have it in 7 to 10 business days. The next day, I was home from work, when 4 guys came to fix it. They came with a caulk gun and a screw driver. After 30 minutes one of the one guy caulking the leak... the three other guys left. Then one of the maintaince said "I will have to see if we can get the part to fix the soap dispenser. Normally we just have to tighten a screw to get it back together, but I don't know if they still make the part". I showed him the website with the part that I was told would need to be ordered... he said something in a huff, turned around and slammed the door as he walked out... I have yet to get a fixed dishwasher or even and ballpark estimate on when it will be fixed. So there are some opportunities for better social skills. I will call tomorrow and see if call #4 and 5 months plus can get my glasses clearer than the story. You might ask why don't I order the part and fix it myself, they can take my deposit.

Pros: Close to stores and the page extension.

Cons: Appliances from the 80's, get your grandparents old twist and turn model for the microwave!

We are living in Sun River as temp housing during an out-of-state relocation. I have been extremely satisified with the facilities and staff from my first preview visit through my living experience. The staff is friendly, polite, professional, and helpful. Maintenance requests are logged and fulfilled promptly. The maintenance staff is professional, curteous, and prompt. I have never waited more than 24 hours for service. My unit is comfortable, and well laid-out. The kitchen is small, but they did an excellent job of creating as much cabinet space as possible. The bedrooms and bathrooms are efficient. The units are clean and well maintained. The fitness room is adequate and includes aerobic and strength machines sufficient for each muscle group as well as dumbells. It is a small room, but equivalent or better than what you would find in a Holiday Inn Express type of hotel. The room has never been crowded during my use. The complex also boasts a great indoor pool, with jacuzzi, and a sauna. The pool is kept much warmer than I would have expected and is always clean and operational. They also have a nice size outdoor pool, that is also kept immaculate. Each unit has a small private patio or balcony, with a small outdoor storage closet. Each unit has one covered parking spot included, additional vehicles or guests park in available uncovered spots, which are plentiful. Please keep in mind that these are not new or luxury apartments. The rent is reasonable, average for the area, neither dirt cheap or expensive. The fees, deposits, and pet rent are all very competitive. The grounds are not lavishly designed, but are neat and well maintained, year round. I can't say enough about the staff. They were attentive when I was considering renting, and after I signed my lease. They went out of their way to assign me a unit appropriate for my family, and welcome us when we moved in, offering assistance above and beyond my expectations. Tennants are treated respectfully.

Pros: Terrific Staff, excellent pool/exercise facilities, clean, good value

Cons: Older units & appliances, standard/basic materials, located on a one-way road
